Navy Bean Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 c. navy beans
  • 4 c. water
  • 1 lb. ham bone or ham
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 c. chopped celery
  • 6 medium potatoes, cut up
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Soak beans about an hour.

    Cook about 1 hour and then place all ingredients in a pan.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until done.

    Serve with crackers or corn bread.
