  • 2 pieces Smoked Ham Shanks (not Ham Hocks) Rinsed. You Can Substitute The Ham For Other Smoked Meats.
  • 1 bag (16 Oz. Bag) Dry Navy Beans (rinsed)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To Taste

Directions

    Rinse and trim your smoked ham shanks and place them in the bottom of a 6-qt crock pot.

    Rinse the dry beans and make sure there are no pebbles in them (yes ... occasionally you will get things like pebbles in your bag of beans).

    Pour the beans over the ham and fill the crock pot almost to the top with water.

    Cook on high for approximately 3-4 hours.

    Salt to taste.

    Great with cornbread.
