  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 egg whites
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine cornstarch, sugar and water; cook until thick and clear.

    Let cool.

    Beat egg whites and vanilla until stiff. Continue beating while pouring cool mixture over whites.

    Beat 5 minutes longer.

    Spread on pie and bake at 400° for 5 to 7 minutes or to a golden brown.
