- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)
- 3 egg whites
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Mix cornstarch, sugar and water until cooked clear.

2Set aside; cool good.

3Beat egg whites and salt until it stands in peaks, then add the above cornstarch mixture.

4Beat again until well mixed, then add gradually the sugar.

5Beat until very creamy, then add vanilla if you want.

6Pile on hot or cold pie; bake at 325° for 30 minutes.

7Should be golden brown.
