  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring

Directions

    Cream sugar and Crisco until fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each one. Mix flours together and add alternately with milk. Add flavoring and mix well. Bake in preheated oven at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
