- 3 c. sugar
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plus 3 Tbsp. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavor
Directions

1Cream sugar, butter and shortening, mixing well.

2Add eggs and continue mixing until fluffy.

3Alternately add flour, baking powder and milk until all ingredients are well blended.

4Add vanilla and pour into a tube pan that has been sprayed with vegetable spray.

5Bake in oven at 325° for approximately 1 hour or until brown.
