- 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal (white or yellow)
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/3 c. dark molasses (more, if you like!)
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Mix everything well.

2Line just the bottom of a 4-cup glass measuring cup with wax paper.

3Spoon in half of the batter.

4Cover with plastic wrap with slits cut in it.

5Microwave on Medium power for 3 minutes; rotate cup 1/2 turn and microwave another 2 1/2 to 3 minutes.

6Do not overcook!

7Bread is done when center springs back when lightly touched.

8Let stand 10 minutes.

9Take it out of cup; cook the second loaf.
