- 1/2 c. each: dates, raisins and prunes
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick butter or oleo
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. white flour
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon or 1/4 tsp. nutmeg or 1/4 tsp. cloves (optional)
Directions

1Boil dates, raisins and prunes in together in water for 5 minutes.

2Add butter or oleo; set aside.

3In a bowl, mix eggs, soda, vanilla, salt, flour and chopped nuts.

4Add fruit mixture to batter.

5Add cinnamon, nutmeg or cloves, if desired.

6Bake in a 7 x 11-inch pan at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

7Cool and cut.
