- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 to 6 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Cut in shortening and mix until mealy.

3Add egg; mix well.

4Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until a soft ball of dough forms.

5Roll dough on floured board 1/8-inch thick and cut into 1-inch wide strips.

6Drop into boiling beef or chicken stock and cook 15 to 20 minutes.

7Yield: 6 servings.
