  • 12 cup coarsely chopped onion
  • 14 cup coarsely chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 34 cup open pit barbecue sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 34 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups cooked drained noodles (spaghetti or macaroni can be used)

Directions

    Saute vegetables in oil until tender.

    Add tomato paste, BBq sauce, water, sugar and salt; bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat, simmer about 20 minutes.

    Serve over noodles.
