Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. cut broccoli (frozen in cheese sauce)
  • 2/3 c. chopped onion
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 5 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. instant chicken bouillon

Directions

    Cook broccoli in cheese sauce according to package directions, only until thawed.

    Place broccoli in cheese sauce in blender and grate; blend until finely chopped.

    Saute onion in butter until tender.

    Stir in flour until smooth.

    Add milk gradually, stirring constantly, until thickened.

    Add seasonings, bouillon and grated broccoli.

    Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.

    Makes 8 cups.
