  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 c. (heaping) chopped apples

    Beat well the eggs.

    Beat in sugar and vanilla.

    Add flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Fold in nuts and apples.

    Bake in two greased 9-inch pie plates, metal, at 375° for 30 minutes; Pyrex at 350° for 35 minutes.
