Norwegian Curried Lamb

  • 3 lbs lamb, chunked
  • 14 cup flour
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • margarine for browning sauce

Directions

    Coat meat with flour.

    Saute garlic and onion in a small amount of margarine .

    Heat more more margarine in a heavy skillet and brown meat on all sides.

    Transfer to large pot.

    Add sauteed onions and garlic to pot.

    Season with salt, pepper, and curry powder.

    Add 1 cup hot water and bring to a boil.Add more water if necessary to cover meat.

    Cover, and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes.

    Check seasonings.

    It should be quite strong.
