- 1/2 c. butter (must use butter)
- 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
- 1 egg
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Melt butter in small saucepan and pour over oatmeal.

2Beat egg until light and beat in the sugar.

3Mix together the flour and baking powder and stir into the egg mixture along with the oatmeal mixture.

4Drop heaping teaspoonfuls of batter onto greased and floured baking sheet, 2 or 3 inches apart.

5Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

6Remove from oven and let stand about 1 minute.

7Quickly lift out cookies.
