- 1 c. sugar
- 1 extra large egg
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 3/4 c. pecan pieces
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream together the sugar and egg.

2Set aside; thoroughly sift the flour, salt and baking powder.

3Then add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with milk.

4Add the pecans.

5Blend in vanilla.

6Pour batter into greased loaf pan and let stand 1/2 hour before baking.

7Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
