  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 lb. butter or oleo
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 c. fresh coconut, grated
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 wine glass whiskey
  • 1 qt. pecans
  • 1 box seeded raisins
  • 1 box dates
  • 1/4 lb. cherries
  • 1/4 lb. glaced pineapple

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter together; add eggs, beaten slightly. Sift flour with baking powder (use some of flour mixture with cut up fruit).

    Add flour and whiskey; add nuts and coconut.

    Stir. Add floured fruits and fold in.

    Using Bundt pan, lightly greased and floured, bake in slow oven at 300° for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

    Test with cake tester.

    Toothpick should come out clean.
