  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. 10x confectioners powdered sugar
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. finely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 10x sugar

Directions

    Beat butter or margarine in large bowl with electric mixer at high speed until fluffy.

    Add the 3/4 cup of 10x sugar, flour and vanilla.

    Mix well.

    Blend in nuts.

    Shape dough into 3-inch logs. Place, 1-inch apart, on cookie sheet.

    Bake in slow oven at 325° for 25 minutes or until pale golden brown.

    Roll in 10x sugar while still hot.

    Cool on wire racks.

    Roll cooled cookies again in sugar to coat evenly.
