- 1 c. pecans, chopped and toasted
- 1 2/3 c. sifted plain flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground mace
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil (Crisco)
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt, mace and set aside.

2Cream butter and sugar in large bowl.

3Beat to fluffy.

4Beat in eggs, one at a time.

5Add vanilla, stir in nuts.

6Pour in greased and floured large tube pan or three (9-inch) pans.

7Bake in oven at 350° for 45 or 50 minutes.

8Cool and turn on rack to finish cooling.

9Ice with Caramel Icing.
