- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. melted butter
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Blend room temperature cheese, butter and flour; chill for 1 hour.

2Divide into 24 equal parts; shape each part into a small ball.

3Press into bottom and 1/2-inch up the side of small buttered 2-inch muffin cups; chill.

4Blend remaining ingredients and place one teaspoon of mixture in each pastry shell.

5Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.

6Makes 2 dozen small tarts.
