  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. mixed nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 c. finely packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour

    Melt butter in large skillet over low heat.

    Add nuts; sprinkle with salt.

    Toast nuts, stirring frequently, 3 to 5 minutes.

    Beat egg white until stiff; stir in sugar and flour. Add mixture to nuts quickly, coating all nuts.

    Continue cooking over low heat, stirring frequently until mixture is thick and dry, 5 to 7 minutes.

    Spread out on cookie sheet; cool.

    Break apart.
