  • 1 c. oats
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda

    Add oats to boiling water; let stand 20 minutes.

    Cream the shortening.

    Add the remaining ingredients; mix the oats last. Cook for 30 minutes at 350°.
