- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. cold water
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/8 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 to 6 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. quick-cooking rolled oats, uncooked
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine milk and cold water; heat.

3Pour hot liquid over butter, sugar and salt; stir until butter melts.

4Cool to lukewarm.

5Stir in 2 cups flour, dissolved yeast and oats.

6Stir in enough additional flour to make soft dough.
