- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. melted shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 1/2 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
Directions

1Combine sugar, shortening and brown sugar.

2Add eggs, vanilla, coconut and pecans.

3Mix and add flour, salt, soda and oatmeal. Shape into 1-inch balls.

4Place on a greased cookie sheet.

5Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
