Ingredients

  • 2 c. unsifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 c. quick oats, uncooked
  • 1 1/2 c. well packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch bits
  • 1/2 tsp. orange extract

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; set aside.

    In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, eggs and water; beat until creamy.

    Gradually add flour mixture; stir in oats, butterscotch bits, orange extract and nuts.

    Drop by slightly rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
