- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. (2 sticks) softened butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract or grated rind of 1 orange
- 3 c. quick or old fashioned oats (uncooked)
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) butterscotch morsels
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; set aside.

3In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract (or orange rind) until creamy.

4Gradually beat in flour mixture.

5Stir in oats and butterscotch flavored morsels.

6Drop by measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

7Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies or 9 to 10 minutes for crisp cookies.

8Let stand for 2 minutes.

9Remove from cookie sheets; cool.

10Makes about 4 dozen.
