Ingredients
- 3 1/2 c. sifted plain flour (all-purpose)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 c. melted lard or Crisco, cooled
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
Directions

1Dissolve yeast into water.

2Put everything into a bowl and stir until just mixed.

3Be careful not to overmix.

4Cover and let rise to double its size.

5Stir in down and cover and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.

6Two hours before baking time, grease baking pan.

7Dust dough with flour until it can be rolled out onto a board.

8Roll dough, cut and place on pan. Grease tops with melted butter.

9Let rise for 2 hours.

10Bake in 425° oven until brown.

11Makes about 2 dozen.
