  • 1/3 c. molasses (sorghum)
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream sugar and shortening together. Add egg, molasses and buttermilk and mix well. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and ginger together and add to other mixture. Roll real thin and bake.
