  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. black walnuts
  • 2 c. fresh or canned blackberries, well drained

Directions

    Cream the butter and sugar well. Add eggs. Add spices and soda to flour and add alternately the flour and buttermilk.

    Fold in nuts and blackberries. Great with cream cheese frosting.
