- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. raisins
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder, spices and salt. Cream the shortening, sugars and eggs together.

2Blend in flour mixture. Add raisins and walnuts.

3Mix well.

4Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

5Makes about 3 dozen.
