Old Fashioned Pecan Pie

  • 1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

    Cook brown sugar and corn syrup slowly for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Beat eggs.

    When syrup cools, add mixture to eggs, stirring all the time.

    Add butter, salt and nuts.

    Pour into unbaked shell.

    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 425° or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
