  • 2 c. plain medium cornmeal
  • 1/3 c. bacon drippings
  • 1 Tbsp. salt (may add more)
  • enough water to mix by hand

Directions

    Mix ingredients until moist.

    Add enough water to make a smooth mixture (but mixture needs to hold its shape).

    Form into pones.

    Grease iron skillet and heat.

    Place pones into hot skillet.

    Bake at 425° until brown.
