  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 5 whole eggs
  • 2 c. flour (measure after 2 siftings)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream butter until fluffy.

    Add sugar to creamed butter and cream until light and fluffy.

    Drop in 1 whole egg at a time while beating.

    Stop beater and fold in flour.

    Cook at 300° for 45 minutes.

    Turn up to 325° for 15 minutes to brown.
