- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. cake flour
- 3 sticks butter or margarine
- 6 eggs
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. flavoring
- 1 can Carnation evaporated milk
Directions

1Allow butter or margarine to soften at room temperature. Combine sugar, butter and eggs in a large mixing bowl.

2Beat until mixture is smooth and creamy.

3Alternate, adding small amounts of the cake flour and the milk and beat after each addition.

4Add a dash of salt and the flavoring.

5Continue beating the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.

6The mixture will look like softened ice cream.

7(Do not overmix.)

8Cook in a tube pan at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

9Allow to cool for 15 minutes before removing from the pan.
