  • 2 12 cups flour, sifted
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 13 cup sugar
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup stuffed green olive, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento

    Preheat oven to 350F

    Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

    Add egg and milk.

    Stir just until moistened.

    Stir in walnuts, olives and pimentos.

    Pour into a well-oiled round baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.

    Remove after cooling slightly for 10 minutes and turn out onto a cake rack.

    Slice into quarters and then slice each quarter into 4 or 5 pieces.
