Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. dry white wine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/2 lb. stew beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 4 ribs celery (1-inch cubes)
  • 6 carrots (1-inch cubes)
  • 1 large potato in large chunks
  • 1 large onion, quartered

    In large casserole, combine first eight ingredients.

    Blend well.

    Add remaining ingredients and stir to coat.

    Bake, covered, at 350° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
