  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 12 oz. cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 9 pieces uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 3 c. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

    Heat oven to 350°.

    In large skillet, brown hamburger and drain.

    Add sauce, water and oregano.

    Simmer 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    In small bowl, combine cottage cheese and egg.

    In greased 9 x 13-inch pan, layer half noodles, half meat sauce, half cottage cheese mixture and one-third Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat; end with Mozzarella cheese.

    Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake for 30 minutes.

    Remove foil and bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
