  • 4 medium onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 c. (1/2-inch cubes) cheese
  • 4 slices buttered toast, cubed
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Cook onions in boiling, salted water until tender (10 to 15 minutes).
