- 1 1/2 lb. thinly sliced onions
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. white wine
- 1 lb. Gouda cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 qt. beef bouillon
- 1 lb. Swiss cheese
- French bread (dry)
Directions

1Cook onion in butter and oil for 15 minutes, covered. Uncover and add salt; cook on medium-high for 40 minutes, until golden brown. Stir in flour and stir for 3 minutes. Add bouillon and wine and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Grate cheese.
