Ingredients

  • 12 onions, thinly sliced
  • 14 c. beef bouillon
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
  • 6 (1-inch) slices toasted French bread
  • 6 thick slices Mozzarella cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute onions in butter in large pan for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

    Add bouillon, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, Kitchen Bouquet, pepper and salt if needed.

    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 4 hours.

    Pour into crocks; top with toast and Mozzarella cheese.

    Put under broiler to melt cheese.
