Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 2 to 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 4 Tbsp. powdered milk

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.

    Combine milk and flour, mixing well.

    Add yeast and remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  4. 4
    Leave in mixing bowl to rise until doubled in bulk. Then roll out like biscuit dough, make into rolls and bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
