  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind (can substitute 1 tsp. orange extract)
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped

Directions

    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
