- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. orange juice (juice of 1 orange)
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl; stir in orange rind and sugar.

2Beat egg, orange juice, milk and butter together in a small bowl.

3Stir in the nuts.

4Pour liquids onto flour mixture and stir until blended.

5Pour into two 8 x 4-inch greased loaf pans.

6Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes until skewer comes out clean.

7Cool on wire racks.
