  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. oleo or butter
  • 2 tsp. orange peel zest
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 32 oz. drained, canned beets

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except beets in microwave dish, covered. Microwave 3 1/2 minutes.

    Stir until smooth and thickened.

    Add drained beets and microwave 1 1/2 minutes.

    Stir and serve hot.
