- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 stick oleo
- 1 c. raw rice
- 1 c. beef consomme
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 level tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper
- 1 tsp. oregano
Directions

1Cook onion and raw rice in the oleo over a medium flame for 5 minutes (do not brown).

2Add all other ingredients.

3Pour into a casserole; cover tightly and bake for 45 minutes to an hour at 350°.

4Serve with ham, fried chicken or steak.
