  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. each: sage, ginger and salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 fryer, cut up
  • flour
  • 1/3 c. fat
  • 1 (No. 2) jar boiled onions with juice

Directions

    Combine lemon juice, soy sauce, sage, ginger, salt and pepper in casserole.

    Let chicken stand in this mixture for several hours in the refrigerator, turning occasionally.

    Remove chicken from marinade (save).

    Coat with flour and brown in hot fat.

    Return chicken to marinade in casserole.

    Add onions and juice.

    Cover. Bake 40 minutes at 375°.
