  • 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 4 c. shredded red cabbage
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. tarragon vinegar

    Put drippings into skillet.

    Add cabbage, sugar, water, salt, pepper and vinegar.

    Stir to blend.

    Cover pan and simmer 30 minutes.
