Oven Barbecue Venison

Ingredients

  • sliced venison (1 1/2 to 2 lb.)
  • flour
  • salt and pepper
  • barbecue sauce
  • shortening

Directions

    Mix flour, salt and pepper.

    Roll prepared venison in mixture. Fry in small amount of shortening until brown on each side. Cover bottom of casserole dish with barbecue sauce.

    Place lid on casserole dish and cook in 300° oven for 45 minutes to one hour. Add more sauce if needed.

    (Chicken may be used instead of venison.)
