Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cut in cubes
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 celery ribs, cut in pieces
  • 4 medium to large potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 4 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 medium carrots, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • 1/2 c. peas

    Spray Pam on Dutch oven.

    Place meat on bottom.

    Layer onion, celery, carrots and potatoes on top.

    Mix salt, sugar, tapioca and juice together and pour over vegetables.

    Cover.

    Bake at 250° for 4 hours, or if in hurry at 350° for 2 1/2 hours.

    Add peas 30 minutes before removing from oven.
