- 7 1/2 qt. popped corn (1 3/4 c. dry)
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
- 1/2 c. dark syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Pop corn.

2In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, margarine, syrup and salt.

3Boil together 4 to 5 minutes.

4Remove from heat.

5Add soda and stir well.

6Pour over popped corn in large roaster pan.

7Mix well.

8Spread caramel corn on cookie sheets.

9Bake in a 200° oven for 1 hour.

10Stir every 15 minutes. When cool, store.
