- 6 qt. popped corn
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Put popped corn in a buttered bowl and set aside.

2Heat the margarine, corn syrup and brown sugar and bring to a boil.

3Add cream of tartar and reduce heat.

4Boil for 5 minutes (no more). Remove from heat and add soda.

5Pour over corn and stir well. Spread caramel corn on cookie sheet and bake in oven at 225° to 250° for 1 hour.

6Stir every 15 minutes.

7Keeps well in sealed container.
